This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Ketchikan, Alaska, Public Utilities, and regulatory evaluations for compliance with surface water treatment and disinfection byproduct (DBP) rules. The use of SelectableAmmonia Injection Points for DBP Control was evaluated, along with two other alternatives for DBP control: One Ammonia Injection Pointwith booster Chlorination; and, ultraviolet (UV) for Primary Disinfection andChloramines for Residual.
