Full Description

The use of the pump head developed by heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) pumps has become an important subject due to the need to conserve energy in these systems. Excessive pump head has resulted in increased maintenance in pumps as well as other piping accessories such as valves. Further, in energy storage systems such as ice or chilled water, the pumping horsepower becomes a major part of the electrical load during the daytime period of high energy charges. Presents rules for good system design.
