This session addresses issues related to profitability. It describes various profitability âkillersâ that can occur on a project and provide ideas for the engineer and/or project manager on how to avoid them. The presentation includes a discussion of lessons learned based on actual case studies in which the bottom-line was severely impacted and how the losses could have been mitigated or avoided. The discussion includes a description of some of the basic metrics of profitability such as the effective multiplier, and a discussion of how the PM can influence these metrics on a project.
